View Full Version : Rich Tips for textfield?

Is there a way to do these rich qtips for a textfield?

I could probably get away with this for definitions of a field, but it would nice to show a little grid and/or chart explaining how I got to a certain number.

inputAttrTpl: " data-qtip='<b>Attrition</b><br>&nbsp;14,650<br>-14,554' ",

You should be able to do that with the DataTip ux, applying it to your form:

I hate to show how stupid I am, but can you point to an example of how to apply this to a form?

Or you may like this plugin: Form Field Icon Plugin (http://extjs.eu/software/form-field-icon-plugin/). Biography field there has an Ajax loaded rich tooltip.

Very nice plugin Jozef!

Jozef, is this something I might be able use as a button so that I can click to open a window?

Sure. The plugin fires icon click events so you can listen and open the window in the listener.

As a follow-up for others looking for a similar solution, I purchased this plugin for the cost of a NYC salad and with minimal code have a clickable icon with qtip. The package came with documentation and Jozef was super responsive with any of my questions. This is something I will reuse in every application going forward.

plugins : [{
ptype : 'saki-ficn',
iconCls : 'icon-chart_pie',
qtip : 'Click for more detail',
clickEvents : {
click : function(e) {
var pos_x = e.getPageX() + 20, pos_y = e.getPageY() + 10
showDetails('C02', pos_x, pos_y);
