View Full Version : Noob Question: How to Override the default JSON date encoding

17 Aug 2013, 7:11 AM
I have to write dates to MSSQL and after searching the forum, it seems like the correct answer is: to Override the JSON.encodeDate function. I am clueless to where / how / what I have to do to override this. I am using Architect (if that makes a difference.) Can someone please guide me or show me an example?

I have think the override has to look like this:
Ext.JSON.encodeDate = function(d) {
return '"' + Ext.Date.format(d, 'MS') + '"';

Looks like you've found something that will work. I'm going to move this thread to the Architect forum so someone can show you the best place to put that.
