View Full Version : Container divided into small squares (board)

I would like to have a container which is divided into small invisible squares (something like board/net 100x100). And I want adding panels there with a drag and drop functionality. That panels will use 10x10 squares or more/less, according to their size. Then I'll be able to move panels in the container and save their position.
I think, what I need it's something like calendar from ExtJS 3 examples (week tab), but that calendar is really extensive.
Have anyone got a simplier example of what I would like to achieve?
Thank you for any help.

Do you know how many items will be in the container? If so then I'd use the absolute layout and position each panel.

Unfortunately I don't know how many panels will be in the container. They will be added dynamicaly.
I made my panels floating and draggable. But autoHeight or autoScroll on container don't work when I move floating panel behind container zone. Is it possible to have horizontal autoScroll and autoHeight working with floating panels? When I tried to remove floating from panels, then draggable stopped working.
