View Full Version : Neptune Theme

sorry, yet another bump for Neptune theme!

Really feel like Sencha has dropped the ball with this one as this theme is beautiful (yes, some in the forums hate it but others can see the brilliance in it).

Please set an ETA for this as by the looks of the posts below it has been a LONG time coming which is totally uncool to the ExtJS community and to the boost this theme will give to to the product.

Cheers, TiM

[Neptune - is it really going to work?] - May 2012

"Neptune seems to be a trouble child

I know Neptune is under construction at the moment, and it updated with each release. The best thing I can suggest is to create a bug report with screens that display the problem and we will continue to make updates."

[is the Neptune theme not in extjs 4 final?] - April/May 2011

"lol...another feature touted in videos not in the final release."

"I know there is a problem with the theme slicing tool, and there are some bugs in the theme scss files that are being worked on - I suspect that once things settle down in that area, and you can compile a theme that looks the same on IE 8/9, FF 3/4, Chrome, Safari, that the Neptune theme would follow pretty quickly."

After talking with dev on this, it is our sincere goal to have this ready for the 4.2 release.

Hi, Scott

any ETAs for that?

Unfortunately ... there are no public release dates for 4.2 at this time.

But perhaps you could at least give some estimates? A week? A year? A month? Frankly, we are seriously considering migrating from extjs given the progress with theming support of this framework.

This decision is made by the development team.

There is a "goal" date, but again this is internal.

Imagine the chaos that would ensue if that date was not met, not to mention that size of the bus that I myself would be underneath ;)
