View Full Version : Handle Asynchronous request in Ext JS

27 Apr 2012, 2:31 AM

I am using HTML and Ext JS 4 for my application.
Can anyone suggest what can I do to make a long polling service for asynchronous requests through Ext JS4 or any other way so that I can integrate it with my client layer(HTML/Ext JS 4) and server layer(Java) as well.

Thanks In Advance,

You will most likely need to be a little more specific on your question to get a proper answer.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the reply.

My existing application is in Flex(UI) and server and DB integration is through Spring and Hibernate.
Flex is communicating with Java code through a mediator that converts Flex commands to something which Java can understand.

So my aim is to change the UI part only, which is in HTML and Ext JS4.
How can I connect Ext JS4 with server code to handle asynchronous requests?
If Ext.Direct can help, can I have a sample code for the same?

Kindly let me know if more details are expected.

Thanks in Advance,

To be more specific I have 3 components on my screen - 2 FusionCharts and 1 Ext JS 4 DataGrid.
I want them to be loaded asynchronously.

What is the most efficient way to do this?

If any 3rd party is required or through AJAX or JQuery, can the mediator be integrated with my server code efficiently?

Can anyone provide a sample code for the same???

Please help.:s

Thanks In Advance,
