Hi

here is the issue

first some basic HTML:

<div id="msg">
<div>This is a message</div>
</div>

then some css:

#msg{
position:absolute;
background-color:lightsteelblue;
left:35%;
top:30%;
width:300;
height:200;
border:1px solid black;
}
and finally this piece of code:

Ext.onReady( function () {
var shadow = new Ext.Shadow({offset:10});
shadow.show("msg");

});

you can see on the first screenshot what i'm getting on IE. The result on Firefox (second screen shot) is fine...

Is there something i'm doing wrong ?

Is this IE 6 or 7? Which doctype? Does the behavior change with a different doctype?

It's IE 7
The orginal doc had no doctype.
When i added one it didn't change the position of the shadow but the blue box became smaller (size of its inner text)

I'have tried
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
and
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
both give same results
