View Full Version : Grid performance is slow in IE 8

I need to display an auto height grid with client side pagination, im doing the following steps

1.Creating a store with ajax proxy which fetches the data from the server.
2.The fetched data will be fed into another store with pagingmemory proxy
3. The pagingmemory store is used by the grid to display the results.

the server returns about 1600 records, everything is working fine in all the browsers except in IE 8, where the rendering and sorting of the grid is very slow, is there any ways to improve the performance

Yup 4.0.7 .......i heard about buffered store....can we use prefetch in pagination?

You wouldn't be using paging if you use a buffered store.

oh.....pardon my ignorance.....Is there any other way to improve the performance....

To be honest in 4.0.7 the performance isn't that great. In 4.1.0 we are working on performance fixes.

thanks man......for replying in such a short notice......4.1 PRs are awesome ....cant wait for the final one.......

If i use 4.1 PRs to develop the application and when 4.1 is released (i hope it is soon :) ) i modify the version from 4.1PR to 4.1, Will that change impact my application?

You should keep up to date with every release. There shouldn't be changes that will break but there could be.

Any news about the 4.1 final release, with a acceptable performance in huge grids?
I'm impatient waiting for this. :)
