View Full Version : Editing column header of Grid

29 Nov 2011, 2:33 AM

Just like we can edit the cell values of a grid (EditorGridPanel). Is it possible to take the column header to edit-mode? Means, you may double-click the column-header, then your column-header goes to edit-mode, where you can type-in your new column header name.

Is it possible to do that? Any help will be appreciated.

Basically all you are doing is rendering a text field to the header element and setting the value. Then getting the value, removing the textfield and then updating the header text.

Hello Mitchell,

Thanks for the reply. I have gone through the documentation for Column. All I can see is editor, xtype properties which set the editor type for the grid's cell.

Is there any property by which I can set the editor type of the "column header"? Is there any direct approach for that or do I need to modify the column-model source-code to include this feature?

Any help will be appreciated.
Awaiting your valuable reply.

Thanks :)
