View Full Version : Streaming a large XML data set to XmlReader

Is there a way to stream a large XML dataset from an asp.net website to an ExtJS XmlReader? I'm replacing a legacy ASP Classic website that formats the data into a very large HTML Table. It loads quickly because the ASP page is flushing the buffer every few hundred records so the browser can render it immediately. Is there a way of doing the same thing using ExtJS so it can process a subset of the XML that is streamed in instead of waiting for the entire dataset to load? Unfortunately my client didin't like the paging solution, and is negatively comparing ExtJS with the ancient ASP page because it loads so much faster.

Thanks for any insights you may have.

There isn't a way for Ext JS to cache an Ajax call
