View Full Version : Loosing parameters once in a while.

I have a web application which use extJS 3.4.0. It is running smoothly since a couple years. I notice that once in a while some customers' requests have the post parameters simply truncated, i.e. my program receive no parameters.

params:{id:'abc', txt:'123'},
success: function(response) {
failure: function(response) {

Yesterday I had a customer having these issues. He was using IE9. I asked him to use FF or Chrome to see if it would be better. He used Chrome and the problem went away.

I have implemented a mechanism which allows my client JScript to retry sending the Ajax request when the server detect that the parameters are missing. This seems to solve the problem, there are requests which are resent.

Why are the parameters sometimes stripped with IE? Is there someone who is having similar problems?

I have also encountered IE dropping the POST data of Ajax requests. Can't remember the diagnosis, we also workedaround with a retry.

Thanks Uberdude... I feel less lonely...
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Can it be ExtJS itself, or is this a bug in IE, or is this inherent to Internet and networks?

Is there anyone else who had such problems?

Does anyone know why this can happen?

Thanks for your help.
