View Full Version : HTML 5 Script async / defer and Ext library

Wanted to understand to what extent Ext JS supported the HTML option for async loading of JavaScript. Some browsers (webkit) are already starting to implement this feature and it would be useful to take advantage of it.

I have not tried this, but as a guess, I would expect to be able to load the ext-all.js file using the async option, but then any scripts that rely on Ext ( all my scripts use Ext.define ) existing would have to be delayed until Ext has loaded.

I presume there may also be issues with extends, as classes maybe loaded out of order and would fail.

Would love to know peoples thoughts on this, especially if you have some experience of it.
