Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Ext.form.ComboBox supports the notion of multi-select. I don't see a multiSelect config option in the API docs and the Field -> TextField -> TriggerField chain of inheritance for a ComboBox also implies that multi-select isn't supported.

multiSelect is a DataView config option, and a combo's view is defined with singleSelect: true. Take a look at the LovCombo (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?32692-Stable-1.0-LovCombo-Simple-List-of-Values-Combo&highlight=multiselect) or SuperBoxSelect (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?69307-3.x-Ext.ux.form.SuperBoxSelect) components.
