View Full Version : Different return value of htmlEditor getValue() on Firefox and IE

I encounter a problem of HtmlEditor.

I input the same content 'Sample Text' in htmlEditor.

On IE browser, the value is:
(a) <font size="5"><em><strong>Sample Text</strong></em></font>

On Firefox browser, the value is:
(b) <FONT size="6" face="verdana" style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"><i>Sample Text</i></FONT>

My specification is: save the value to file, and open that to modify at any time.

So the problem is that: the value create on IE (a) can not used on Firefox browser, and the value create on Firefox(b) can not used on IE browser.

Is anyone could give me a help to resolve the problem? Or should I convert the two type value in some rules?
