View Full Version : [FIXED] examples/grid/group-header-grid.html allows sub group to become primary

[B2-EXTJSIV] http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-4.0-beta2/examples/grid/group-header-grid.html allows sub group like [% Change], which is under [Stock Price] to become a primary group, so a column all by itself.

In other words, if you drag a sub group/column to the side of a standalone column it will become a standalone column. I believe this should be supported, but the usual case is that sub column can only be dragged under the same parent. How can we achieve the usual case? I believe the usual case should be the default.

Could you explain the feature you'd like in more detail?

I would think the default behavior should be what is in Ext JS 3.x -> http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/dev/examples/grid/ColumnHeaderGroup.html

We could add an extra property for header, named: parentConstrained = true, true been the default.

Got it.

You're looking for a configuration which will ensure that a header always keeps the same parent as it has when it is initially created.

Could we have the bug number? It is a change of functionality compared to 3.x.

@aconran Please provide the bug number. Your fix could reuse the code listed at: http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?149910-Help-with-drag-and-drop-on-column-headers&p=657634#post657634

There will be an option to do this in 4.1.
