i got a complicated method to excute.so i want to put a progressBar to show the progress of the excution.my code is like this: .....//method excute...
it works well in FF.but in ie6,i havent test in other version yet, the progressBar is still,cannot show the update effect.
is the script excution block the progressBAR moving? is there a way to solve this.THX

The only way to solve this is to break your complicated method into parts and defer each section by 1ms, e.g.

function doStuff(){
// do some stuff
doStuff2.defer(1, this);
function doStuff2(){
// do some more stuff
doStuff3.defer(1, this);
function doStuff3(){
// do final stuff
