View Full Version : Using PagingToolbar standalone

Instead of reinventing the wheel with 'next' 'previous' buttons in panel, i was thinking if it's possible to use the PagingToolbar's functionality with a store that isn't 'bound' to any component.

I have a web service that brings back the number of 'pages' or that many items in an array. I simply want to override the buttons to go fetch a collection of images (1 per 'page'). I suppose this is like having a paging panel but load pages on demand based on the index supplied by the paging toolbar.

I don't want to use a dataview or whatever like the image drag/drop example on the sencha website.

Any ideas or should i just stick a next/previous button and be done with it?

What exactly would you use the paged store for? Wouldn't you still want to use it for some kind of DataView?
