View Full Version : Widgets as Nodes in TreePanel

I am currently evaluating a few GWT widget libraries and quite like the look of Ext GWT.

I need a library with a tree control that has the ability to use widgets in the nodes.
Is this possible with the Ext GWT TreePanel or TreeGrid widgets?
If anyone has any examples to point me to that would be great.

In the Standard GWT Tree widget this is possible, but that one seems very basic and lacks things like drag & drop (unless I am mistaken)

This is possible with the TreeGrid: http://www.sencha.com/examples/explorer.html#widgetrenderertreegrid. You can only have one column and hide the header and it would look like a TreePanel.

The TreePanel does not support Widgets out of the box, but this can be done with a custom TreePanelView.

However, you should not display many widgets there, as this can get slow quite fast.
