View Full Version : Question about how Ext handles rendering of grid/tree panels

Just to give a basic idea of the problem I'm trying to narrow in on, our application has a modal window which loads in a number of panels, with a couple fairly complex tree and grid panels with a split pane. Interacting with the top pane changes data in the bottom frame.

Now, I expected that when the bottom pane is rendered that these are the only elements that Ext would need to handle. However, I have confirmed by putting a listener on scrollable elements in the background (not in the modal container at all), that Ext is doing some sizing or scrolling when only the bottom pane should be touched.

Am I completely crazy, or does Ext resize every element on the page when reloading a panel? Any info you can give would help out, I'm trying to get any boost in performance possible, thanks.

And with 3.2.2 the problem seems to have disappeared.
